Fast forward to 1968 and...  the pool!

S A T U R D A Y,  1 5  A P R I L

Wonderful weather - I did German vocab on the terrace.

Dad and me went next door to the 'estate'. It is lovely! We're going to have the swimming pool in one of the orchards where the ground is covered with tiny blue flowers (speedwell, I think), it’s like a pale blue carpet and it looks perfectly beautiful. He gave me a ride back to the house in the wheelbarrow bumping me all over the stones, logs and things at the end - it was so funny. Then he helped me masses with my Australia project, reading all about the political history from the Encyclopedia.

I washed my hair. I've noticed there’s a strand on the left side, it’s very fair and looks rather good, but I don’t know why it’s only just appeared.

Played on the Labyrinth. I got to no. 52!

The Monkees was jolly good. There was one bit where they were all dressed up as surgeons and were whizzing up and down the hospital corridors on an operating table, to the music of ‘I'm Your Stepping Stone’ - hilarious.

Back-of-waist pains again.
