A YEARNING FOR BOYS
T U E S D A Y, 1 4 N O V
At break, Anya and Lucy whizzed their lunch to go down to town with Talc Powder and Adrian, but Adrian had to get back to school by the time they got out. I chatted with Tig, Pam and Pat instead. Honestly, Pam and Pat’s last school Romanoff sounds so crummy. It's typical of a private day school - everybody except Pam failed French!!! Tig and me went to see the costumes for 'Our Town', which Claire’s designed. Mine is a plain grey dress with a white apron, Tig’s is a fab orange one with huge puff sleeves.
I’m worried about going to the folk-singing tomorrow at Glyn. I don’t know where to meet up and the only people I’ll be able to sit next to are Pam and Pat. All the others will be with their boyfriends: Anya with Talc, Lucy with Adrian, Martha with Robert, and Sandra with Greg.
I feel like writing about Dutronc but I don’t know what to say, I’ve said it all already. Walking around the garden I reminisced. I think the two happiest days I’ve had this year were April 6th (Dutronc, especially the evening) and July 23rd (Mark).
I do so wish I had somebody to love, and to love not in vain. If only I wasn’t so shy I know I would have had millions of boyfriends by now. Not being boastful but I’m sure about it. Peter-Jan broke his heart over me within a few days.
My legs ached in the evening, which made me more miserable.
