"I COULDN'T BEAR NOT TO KEEP A DIARY"

Didn’t start work till about 12. In the end I only got about four hours of French reading done, which I don’t understand because I worked constantly.

Ma took Chump skating at Streatham. I would love to have gone but couldn’t because of work. I’m terribly worried that I haven’t finished my French reader. I haven’t even started my German one and I’ve got reviews to write on both of them, to be done by Oct 30th.

Listened to Radio Caroline - Johnnie Walker has been voted the most popular DJ on the station and I’m not surprised. He started a year ago today. He spoke quite a bit about himself; he says he’s not the sort of person who writes Diaries - ! - and he never thinks back on the past. Funny how different people are - I’m completely the opposite. I couldn’t bear not to keep a Diary and forget everything that’s ever happened.

Washed my hair. I used Dippity-Do again, but it has no effect on anything except my fringe. Chump dried it for me, pulling it straight down my back. It's still gone curly.

Played Polnareff at home, and cried at ‘Love Me, Please Love Me’, because it’s so beautiful and I was in the mood anyway.
