WET, WET, WET
T H U R S D A Y, 4 M A Y
It rained NON-STOP the whole day.
I felt shivery and there was a ghastly taste in my mouth. Chump and me took umbrellas to school, of course - being see-through they caused a lot of attention. As we were going up Whitehorse Drive this workman in a parked van pulled down the window and stuck his head out! Workmen are the biggest flirts ever.
I felt rather awful in Latin, quivery and very worried.
Poor Miss Leopold really did hurt herself yesterday, she's got a plaster on and she can hardly walk.
In English Mrs Huggett admired my umbrella - she put it up, and then she put it on the floor (still up) and left it there the whole lesson!
I changed into my red dress in the evening plus black patent shoes and bunches in red ribbons which is what I was wearing on March 27th - the first day I saw Dutronc. So I danced slowly to 'Groovy Kind of Love' in my room and imagined I was with him. Dancing is the best thing to cheer you up, it's really wonderful. If only tonight was Thursday four weeks ago. I was so happy then.
Wish my mouth would stop watering and my jaws quivering.
